Q: Do INK products work on faded tattoos and fresh tattoos?
A: Definitely! INK products are suited for both faded and freshly healed tattoos. Our Brightener rejuvenates and sharpens the edges of older tattoos that may have experienced sun damage and everyday wear and tear over the years. It’s just as important to use our Brightener on newer tattoos to help maintain their fresh look for years to come. Meanwhile, our SPF 50 Stick and SPF 50 Spray are essentials all year round to protect your tattoos from fading against UV damage, which is found in both sunlight and fluorescent lighting.
Q: Do INK products work on colored tattoos and black & grayscale tattoos?
A: Yes! INK products have been tested and proven to work on both colored and black & grayscale tattoos. Our SPF products successfully preserve all types of work by preventing fading or sun damage, while our Brightener product instantly brightens and sharpens the details of all types of tattoos. Q: Do INK products work on sensitive skin?
Yes! Those with sensitive and acne-prone skin will find our lightweight, non-greasy and non-toxic formulas to be kind to their skin. There are no ingredients in our products to trigger an irritation or sensitivity to the skin. Additionally, our products are developed without mineral oil, which is a culprit oil that can cause and exacerbate oily/acne-prone skin. We're proud to use the highest quality mix of organic, brightening and antioxidant ingredients specifically chosen and tested to help protect, preserve and improve the vibrancy of your tattoos.
Q: How do I use INK products together?
A: You can maximize your results by using our brighteners and sunscreens together. First, apply your INK SPF 50+ Stick, rub it in, and then apply INK Brightener. Or if you’re using the INK SPF 50+ Spray, apply the INK Brightener first, and then follow with the spray.
In other words, apply the INK SPF 50+ Stick under the INK Brightener. And apply the INK SPF 50+ Spray over the INK Brightener.
Q: Can I use INK products if I don’t have tattoos?
A: Yes! While our products are specifically designed for inked skin (they go on crystal clear and dry quick and tight), they can still be used on non inked skin.
In fact, all INK products are toxin-free, made without oxybenzone, petroleum, mineral oil, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial fragrances and dyes. Plus, all INK products are fragrance-free and cruelty-free.
Q: Can I use INK products if my tattoo is still healing?
A: No. INK is designed for healed tattoos. Once your tattoos heal, you'll love our Brightener Balm, which improves the vibrancy of your tattoos immediately and over time. And our SPF 50 Stick and SPF 50 Spray successfully preserve your ink by preventing fading from the sun and indoor fluorescent lighting, which buys you more time with your tattoo.

A: You’ll want to use our INK Brightener day and night to help keep your art looking bright. And you'll want to use our INK SPF 50 Spray & SPF 50 Sticks in the morning to protect your tattoos from the sun, indoor fluorescent lighting and the environment.
Q: How long does each INK product last for? How many uses do I get out of each INK product?
A: We know that everyone’s tattoos are unique, so we’re not able to give you an exact answer. How long each INK product lasts for depends on several variables:
1) Size and shape of the tattoo
2) Amount used each time
3) How often the product is used
We recommend the Big INK Essentials (Big SPF 50 Stick, SPF 50 Spray, Brightener Jar) for larger ink, half sleeves and full sleeves.
We recommend the Little INK Essentials (Small SPF 50 Stick & Small Brightener Stick) for mini tattoos on the wrist and ankle.
Remember, that with all INK products a little goes a long way.

Q: Are your products gluten-free?
Q: Are your products sulfate, paraben and phthalate-free?

Q: Do your products contain fragrance?
Q: Are INK sunscreens reef-safe?
A: Free from harmful chemicals Oxybenzone and Octinoxate, our INK SPF 50 Spray is reef-safe!
We realize this can be a confusing topic so we want to share some information about sunscreen. There are three types of sunscreen - chemical, mineral, and hybrid.
Chemical sunscreens contain one or more UV absorbing ingredients, including oxybenzone, octinoxate, avobenzone, octisalate, and/or others to help absorb UV rays. Mineral sunscreens contain zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide to help reflect UV rays. Hybrid sunscreens contain both mineral UV reflectors and chemical UV absorbers.
Some chemical sunscreens are harmful to our coral reefs' delicate ecosystem and can cause irreparable damage. Thanks to scientific studies, we're able to make informed decisions about the products we use and their impact on the environment.
Q: How do you test your products?
A: With all INK products we conducted what’s called a Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT). We worked with a USA lab to conduct an 8-week clinical study of 50 people with different skin types, different ages and different genders. This was done under Dermatologist Review.
The results of this test indicated that our products are not shown to cause any irritation or sensitivity amongst the general population. We would not send anything to market that did not pass the voluntary HRIPT testing. As this is a voluntary test, not all marketers incorporate this into their brand’s philosophy. It’s an important pillar of safety that we take pride in.
All of our sunscreen-related claims are regulated by the FDA, including our Broad Spectrum and our 80 Minute Water Resistant Claims, as well as our SPF rating.
Q: Where are your products made?
A: Our products are all locally sourced here in the USA and are Prop 65 compliant, so they meet the highest standards required by the FDA.
Q: Are your packages recyclable?
A: Yes. All of our packages, both the primary packaging and boxes, are recyclable.
Q: What is the shelf life of your products?
A: On average, our products have a standard shelf life of 2 years. If you’re planning on buying in bulk, we recommend that you refrigerate to prolong the shelf life. Never use any of our sunscreens after the expiration date, as we cannot guarantee their effectiveness.
Q: What if my product melted?
A: As with all products, they should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Should any product melt due to sun or excessive heat exposure, it will solidify again at room temperature.
